Della is a Chartered Physiotherapist from Ireland with a BSc in Sports Science and Exercise Physiology and an MSc in Physiotherapy, providing a strong foundation in musculoskeletal care and rehabilitation. She currently works with the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks as Physiotherapist for the club’s NRLW team, supporting elite athletes in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance care.
Having studied in both Ireland and London, Della has gained experience across a variety of settings including paediatrics, elderly care, inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy, and sports rehabilitation. She has also worked extensively with professional, semi-professional, and club-level athletes across rugby union, rugby league, and basketball.
A passionate athlete herself, Della has represented Ireland internationally in Oztag, earning 24 caps, and was part of Team Ireland’s physiotherapy team during the 2022 Oztag World Cup, focusing on injury management and performance optimisation. She has also completed two half marathons and is a qualified swim coach, with six years of experience teaching swimmers of all levels.
Della is known for her thorough and compassionate approach to patient care, taking the time to understand each individual’s goals, lifestyle, and challenges. She prioritises clear communication, hands-on treatment, and tailored rehabilitation programs to ensure patients feel supported, confident, and actively involved in their recovery. Qualified in dry needling, Della combines evidence-based treatment with a patient-centred approach to help individuals return to sport, movement, and everyday life with confidence.
