Alison is a chartered Physiotherapist from Ireland. She completed her MSc in Physiotherapy in 2022 in the University of East Anglia after completing her undergraduate degree in Sport Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy in 2018.
Alison has experience working in a private practice setting in Ireland, having worked closely with the Irish rugby physio in his clinic. She also has more than 5 years experience working with different senior GAA (Gaelic Athletics Association) teams back in Ireland. All of this experience has helped Alison’s love for physiotherapy and passion for sports injury rehabilitation.
Alison has a particular interest in injury rehabilitation, stemming from an injury she sustained herself while playing sports. She especially loves rehabilitating knee injuries and ankle injuries.
Alison likes to keep active when not at work by going to the gym, playing soccer and GAA.
By playing sports herself, Alison understands the importance of strength and conditioning combined with physiotherapy when rehabilitating an injury. She uses a variety of techniques such as dry needling, manual therapy and exercise prescription when rehabilitating injuries to make sure her clients get the best possible outcome from their sessions.
