Monique Tanner Senior Physiotherapist and Assistant Clinic Manager | Waterloo
Having completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University, Monique is passionate about facilitating and empowering her patients to reach their personal goals and maximising their performance in work, life or sport. It's her love of holistic health and achieving a positive change in her client's lives that drives her love of physiotherapy.
As an ex-national level gymnast she knows how frustrating injuries can be, as they can stop you doing what you love. She believes patient empowerment is paramount and strives to educate her patients to better understand their bodies. Through a combination of manual therapy and rehabilitative exercise she focuses on addressing the underlying cause of your condition and highly promotes injury prevention to avoid recurrent injuries in the future.
In 2019, Monique designed and implemented a Chronic Pain Pilot Program which was successful enough to be run as a permanent program in Victoria. She has experience with musculoskeletal and sporting injuries and has a keen interest in neck and back pain. In her spare time Monique can usually be found at the beach either running, swimming or playing volleyball. She is passionate about travel and food and is always keen to hear new recommendations.
