Nilam is originally from Toronto, Canada. She has completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy from Macquarie University after completing a Bachelor of Exercise Science from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida.
She followed her passion into private practice, where she can have a positive impact on the community by empowering others to reach their goals. She embraces a holistic and evidence-based approach to treatment and rehabilitation by combining education, manual therapy, and exercise.
Nilam has a keen interest in treating sporting injuries, neck, and low back pain, and helping those that have had some time off exercise by providing them with the tools and support to regain control of their health and wellbeing.
Having previous sport experience travelling internationally and playing Division 1 soccer from the age of 18, giving her a great understanding of the extreme physical demands of elite sport and exercise-related injuries. She has additional experience in musculoskeletal rehabilitation through her work with various footy clubs (inc. Balmain Tigers, NSW Female AFL Academy).
Outside of work, Nilam enjoys travelling, camping, catching sunrises and sunsets, and spending time with her friends and family. On the weekend, Nilam can be found at her local cafes, bars, or restaurants searching for the ultimate foodie experience.
