How is Occupational Therapy different to Physiotherapy?
Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy are quite different services. However, there are common areas, which is why they do get confused. Both physiotherapists and occupational therapists are trained extensively in musculoskeletal system anatomy, injuries and rehabilitation. Occupational Therapists evaluate and improve people’s functional abilities. Physiotherapists focus on issues with movement. At Movement 101, several of our team are fully qualified Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. This deeper understanding of function and movement, means they can provide you with a more comprehensive and effective treatment and rehabilitation.
