​Surry Hills is an inner suburb in the state of NSW. To the south, Surry Hills borders the Sydney CBD and lays between Cleveland Street and Oxford Street. Surry Hills was once a scenic farming area and was named after the popular Surrey Hills in England.  While Sydney CBD is the centre of businesses, Surry Hills and other similar inner areas are Sydney’s centre of culture and creativity. And major thoroughfares are Cleveland Street, Foveaux Street, Bourke Street, and Crown Street. Crown Street is a popular street for its food stores, bookshops, homewares & collectibles, and clothing. The major Surry Hills Market is held on the first Saturday of every month at the Shannon Reserve, and this provides a great opportunity for you to find ingenious crafts, clothing gifts, and bric-a-brac.
