Bardwell Park is a southern Sydney suburb, which is a part of the St George area. The suburb is in the local government area of the Bayside Council, and it was named after Thomas Hill Bardwell, a free settler who owned acres of land in the area. Thomas funding was originally timbered and surrounded by Dowling, Wolli Creek, and Wollongong Road. In 1931, a railway station was opened in Bardwell Park, which in turn opened up the suburb for residential activities.

While the suburb is mainly a residential area, it has a mini shopping centre located around Slade Road and Hartill-Law Avenue. Earlwood Bardwell Park RSL Club is also located alongside the railway station, which is only 500 metres from the epicentre of Earlwood shopping centre with its restaurant and café strip.
