Locations we service
Eastgardens is an Eastern Suburbs located about 9 km south of the Sydney central business; Eastgardens was created in 1999 from parts of Pagewood and Hillsdale. The suburb was initially part of Pagewood until the massive Westfield Eastgardens was opened in 1987, and the suburb was named after the local Westfield shopping centre. The area was originally owned by the government, and it was used as a bus depot and leased to a car manufacturing plant, General Motors Holden.
When Westfield Eastgardens was opened in 1987, it was the biggest shopping centre in Australia until Chadstone Shopping Centre located in Melbourne was revamped. When Westfield Eastgardens was opened, it had Super Kmart, David Jones, Target, a 6-screen Hoyts cinema, Franklins, as well as over 150 other retailers.
The suburb offers a unique opportunity to create value through mixed-use advancement, including accommodation, commercial, and educational facilities. The south-eastern commercial and residential suburb is served by buses to the city, which is approximately 15 minutes by car. It is served by State Transit. Eastgardens doesn’t have a railway station, and the nearest one is located at Mascot.
Eastgardens is dominated by Westfield Eastgardens shopping centre providing great shopping facilities. It also benefits from its close proximity to Mutch Park and Heffron Park, providing enough space for cycling, jogging, and walking. Swimmers and surfers can also make the short trip to the incredible beaches of Coogee and Maroubra. The neighbouring suburbs of Pagewood, Malabar, Matraville, and Maroubra provide a great selection of schools for all denominations, ages, and abilities.
