​Eastlakes is an elegant and down-to-earth suburb of Sydney. Eastlakes is a largely residential suburb that gets most of its benefits as a result of its close proximity to many notable parts of central Sydney. Eastlakes gives you the ability to experience parts of Sydney regularly while still having a fundamentally suburban feel. Most of Eastlakes’s retail and shopping entre is located along Evans Avenue. 
 
Eastlakes has a fairly concentrated of restaurants, which features mostly cuisines, in addition to an increasingly good range of local cafes. Houses in Eastlakes are mainly older constructions that sit in peaceful streets with a decent amount of tree cover. Eastlakes is quiet and home to fairly broad and sizable streets. Some parts of Eastlakes are cut from an old site of Rosebery Racecourse.
 
Today, part of the site has been converted to a memorial park, which honors local soldiers who trained on the site during the world war. Eastlakes is home to several golf courses and parks. Some of the parks include Edmund Thornton reserve, Eastlakes reserve, and the Southern Cross Drive reserve. The Eastlake Golf Course Lakes Golf course is located within the Eastlakes’ boundaries.
