Locations we service
Kingsford is part of the Eastern Suburbs region, which is located about 7 kilometres south-east of the Sydney central business district. Kingsford was once known as South Kensington and was named to honour Australian aviator Charles Kingsford Smith because it was close to Sydney Airport. The suburb is mainly a residential area, with many of the residents being students living in a medium and high-density residential area. At the centre of Kingsford, there is a big roundabout that connects the public transport system to several destinations through a number of bus services.
In a fairly short time, the Kingsford was transformed from being one of the most moderately uninteresting areas in Sydney into an amazing suburb sprinkled with good Malaysian and Indonesian restaurants, take-aways, coffee shops, and some of the best well-stocked Asian shops in Sydney. This transformation was mainly due to the influx of students that lived in the suburb while attending the University of New South Wales.
The major benefit of living in Kingsford is that the suburb has many of the key highlights of Sydney within its reach. The beaches of Maroubra and Coogee, Centennial Park and the sporting grounds, the popular dining of Double Bay and Surry Hills, the education options offered by Randwick, and the like are all within easy reach of Kingsford. The suburb gives its residents the chance to experience parts of true Sydney city on a standard basis while having a massive suburban feel. That is not to mention Kingsford's close proximity to the Sydney CBD.
