The sprawling sporting grounds that surround the park also give it a great feeling of space. The park has undercover space with picnic tables, a lot of electric barbecues, and several trees, making the park a fantastic venue for a birthday party or picnic. However, keep in mind that the Steel Park Waterplay Park is not fenced and has close proximity to the rivers, so you need to keep a close eye on your kids. Nevertheless, the Steel Park Waterplay Park is one of the inner west’s most beautiful waterplay parks. Facilities and Restaurants Surrounding Steel Park Waterplay Park There is a car park in the adjoining Steel Park Waterplay Park or along the Illawarra Road. Also, there is a café on the far side of the park beyond the sporting oval. The water play park is also a short walk across the river to the Adora Chocolates, where you can get coffee and amazing chocolate. Across the road from the centre is the Popular modern Greek and Australian cafe Georgia’s Kitchen, which is a fully licensed café serving meals, coffee, and snacks till the evening hours.
