Located in the Inner West, in the light industrial area of Marrickville, the Factory Theatre is a purpose-built venue dedicated to live entertainment. Year-round, the Factory Theatre hosts live performances ranges from cabaret shows to music concerts, dance, and film. Several times a year, the Factory Theatre becomes an annex venue for Sydney’s comedy scene, particularly during the Sydney Fringe Festival and the Sydney Comedy Festival.
The theatre brings a breath of fresh air to Sydney’s entertainment scene and is devoted to nurturing emerging acts and performers. This theatre is one of the most exciting performance venues in Sydney. An exceptional venue with unbeatable lighting and sound, flexible capacities and modes, a comfortable interior, and brilliant sight-lines. The Factory Theatre, the Fusebox, the Factory Floor, and the outdoor courtyard can be used separately or combine to create a multi-room experience. Factory Theatre Seating Plan The Factory Theatre is designed to be flexible to accommodate specific requirements. Here are some of the ways you can transform the venue for your event. The Factory Theatre in Concert Setting In this setting, all the seats in the venue are removed, and the whole space can be used for host guests. Moreover, you can place bunches of furniture around the venue to create a cozy feeling which creates a relaxed social impression to your event. The factory has a stepped floor which ensures everyone can view the stage from anywhere in the room. The dance floor compliments the live entertainment and a great place for the guests to dance. The theatre also has a black curtain that can be pulled around the room to create two separate spaces, which include the main event hall and the foyer area upon entry. When in the concert setting, the capacity of the theatre is 450 guests. The Factory Theatre in Cabaret Setting You can set the theatre to a cabaret-style for product launches or award ceremonies. In addition to the three-course dining and stage, the theatre offers a way for formal dinner to be less constrained and more comfortable with the chances for your guests to mingle and interact. The stepped floor is perfect for this kind of setting due to the lack of restriction. This mode can host about 250 guests. The Factory Theatre in Theatre Setting This setting is perfect for conferences and motivational speeches. The setting is made up of row seats which is ideal for more structured events. COVIDsafe Procedures Face masks are mandatory at all Sydney events, in line with NSW Government regulations. You need a face mask at all times whiles inside theatres, foyers, and outdoor venues, even during performances. Kids 12 and under are exempted from wearing a mask but are recommended where practicable. The venue is COVIDSafe registered. And the theatre crew works hard to make sure that everyone stays safe while having a great time. Since your health and safety are of utmost importance, the factory is responsible for taking precautions that must be in accordance with public health and safety instructions. Comments are closed.
